If you can get your hands on some freshly made apple strudel, this is just the thing to pour on top. Vanilla sauce with baked apples is a tad less indulgent but still very worth the minimal effort required!
- 1/2 c cream
- 1 t vanilla flavor
- 2 T sugar
- 1 t cornstarch
Mix all ingredients while cold.
Add to small saucepan and heat, stirring continuously, over medium-low heat, until sauce begins to thicken.
Continue to cook for a further 60 seconds then remove from heat.
Delicious served warm over baked apples, chocolate ice cream, or berry crumble.
