I mix this compote into while milk yogurt for a less-sweet breakfast option. Try it with Hangop for dessert.

  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 T water
  1. Place berries in a small saucepan. Add water to the bottom of the pan. (The water will prevent scorching until the blueberries own juices release.) Turn to medium-high heat.
  2. Cook for 25 minutes. After 10 minutes, smash the berries a bit with a fork. After 20 minutes, check for thickness. If the compote is already thick enough to coat a spoon, it is done. If not, cook for another 5 minutes to reduce water.
