Calling this a recipe feels unfair since it is so simple. Can we agree that it is more of an idea? This way of preparing mint tea is hugely popular in the Netherlands.
- 1 large sprig fresh mint
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 t honey optional
Stand 2 sprigs of mint upright in a tall teacup.
Pour boiling water over the mint to fill the cup.
Steep 3 minutes.
If desired, sweeten with honey.
In Morocco, we had a similar mint tea using green tea instead of water. If you have green tea on hand, try it Moroccan style.
